I have mixed feelings. Yesterday I felt it was time to call of the protests, especially seeing what some Nigerians were turning it to. And even if it would continue we really need to delegate people to speak with the government and all. We can't keep on protesting without a representative to the government. It's not like we are asking for the resignation of the president(or something like that) and won't stop till we get it. We asked for some things, and little by little some of them are being taken actions on.

But again seeing the stubbornness/callousness of the police to keep on shooting at peaceful protesters, the use of hoodlums, lives lost. It begs the question; are we even living in a democratic nation at all? Isn't the government for the people?

I also feel the protests should be more particular on police brutality and force. Because I believe the SARS menace also stems from it. I mean most of them were police officers.

But then again I see stories of how the country "hold up", I mean restrictions of movement in some parts due to the protests as led to some people going through more sorrow. Some people can't find their way to where they make a living. Read a story this night of a pregnant woman on her way to hospital getting stuck in traffic and almost losing her life. And I'm like, what's the course, when people are dying of other avoidable circumstances?.

All in all I think the protests should still be on for now, but delegation should be chosen. It's very important. We need to know the way forward. We can't protest forever, and considering the sorta leaders we have, it's a dicey situation. The country can't continue to be on hold, citizens are also seriously suffering from it. I know a price has to be paid for change to happen but we need to be proactive.

Also it's somewhat shameful/embarrassing to see how some are politicizing, degrading and shamefully doing stuffs negatively affecting the press of the protests.

I support the protest but it's getting too long. We are discomforting ourselves. People are deviating from the main motive of the protest. I don't support being aggressive about it. We shouldn't be so harsh. It's not like the Government are fully to be blamed for corruption, we also have a fault in it. If most of us are in their shoes, we would do worse. I know it's not enough reason not to correct them. BUT THOSE IDIO* ARE NOT WORTH DYING FOR.

I feel we should go out to vote in the same energy we went out to protest. In that way, our voice will be heard.

And yes, I like your write up.

Surely, the protest has gone on for long but it isn't long until our needs are met. I hope we are able to stick together for as long as possible cos in the end, this is what will make the govt actually answer us.

But then, we have to tread carefully so that the aim of the protest is not lost in the activities during the protest. This is my actual fear...

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Ermm... does the perverse pleasure I felt seeing that man get flogged make me evil? 😂😂😂. On a serious note, I hope things begin to take a good turn as the youths have shown great courage in the face of oppression. May we all continue to soro soke and may our voices be heard and heeded to.

Thank you for the thoughtful and thorough write-up. Really don't have much to say... I've just been too battered in the past few days with the recent happenings and revelations. Let's hope and pray everything turn out well. In the meantime, I'll implore us to soro soke and not get tired. Nigeria will be great 'again'.

The protest to me at first have achieved it course and shud stopped....but then when I reasoned how many times Nigerians youths have protested some years back and they have been assured that they have reformed the units only for the units to come bact standing twice as worse😉 I feel it shud continue....and booom! FG started agreeing on 30bn and on other conditions with ASUU cos they know the only way to get the protesters off the street is stopping the strike!....and then the Youths Democratic Party was formed and then Sowore was chased away from protest ground and then FEM was replaced by SORO SOKE WEREY! and then a new Nigeria is been giving a chance to show its face😊
